| dc.description.abstract | Nicknames are a very special communicative tool in institutions; therefore, this paper sets out to explore nicknames that are used to lecturers by students at NUL. The paper discusses the nicknames in terms of their origin and the reasons for which such nicknames are coined. The paper also looks at the pragmatics of the nicknames and the implications that they have about student-lecturer relationships in the institution. | en_ZA |
