Abstract:
The phthalocyanine compounds K2[(CN)2FePc], K2[(CN)2CoPc], FePc(Py)2 and CoPc(Py)2 were successfully synthesized and characterized by UV-Visible and IR spectrometry. This was done for application of these compounds as electrode modifiers and as chemical sensors. These coordination compounds were synthesized by the synthesis of the metal-free phthalocyanines followed by the introduction of the axial ligands. The characteristic UV-Visible and IR spectral bands were observed for the four complexes. Therefore it can be concluded that the complexes were successfully synthesized.
